Who We Are
GammaQ was founded in 2006 by Todd Delay, whose vision and leadership shaped the firm’s approach to commodity investing. Todd believed deeply in the value of relationships and genuine connection, and built a strong, dedicated team around those principles. Managing Partners Zachariah Yurch and Nick Brown continue to run the business according to that same philosophy, drawing on a combined 40+ years of commodity investing experience along with strong physical commodity trading backgrounds. This includes substantial cattle ranch, feedlot, and farm owner/operator experience, which provides critical insight into the supply and demand of individual markets.
Investment Approach
We employ a discretionary absolute return strategy that applies deep fundamental analysis to the movement of grain, livestock, and soft commodities and the mechanisms that price them. GammaQ combines both directional and relative value investments to best express thematic views derived from the macroeconomic analysis and impact on pricing inefficiencies across the commodity complex.
